Kirsten’s love of dressmaking, combined with her training in fine art and 3-dimensional design, lead her on an artistic journey that has culminated in a desire to explore the creation of original artistic garments. Kirsten has a particular interest in fantasy and historically inspired designs, using her skills in garment construction to bring works of the imagination to life.

Travelling to the UK to work with exclusive dress designers and immersing herself in the world of theatre and film, Kirsten honed her skills in tailoring and haute couture techniques within the costume and high-end fashion industries. Her work has appeared in numerous feature films including Beauty and the Beast, The Nutcracker and the Four Realms, Aladdin, Thor: Ragnarok, Pan, The Exodus of Gods and Kings, Suffragette, and Star Wars: The Last Jedi and Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. Kirsten’s award-winning wearable art designs have been selected for the International World of Wearable art competition in New Zealand.
